Normal Training Times

The club has exclusive use of the track during the following times:

  • Tuesday 6.00 - 8.30p.m.
  • Thursday 6.00 - 8.30p.m.

During these hours the clubhouse is open, and "The Hungry Harrier" is available for refreshments.

In addition, the Godiva Kids use the track on Thursdays between 6.00 - 7.00p.m.

Provided that it is not otherwise booked for an event, members are able to use the track at any time on presenting their pass. The University maintains a weekly booking schedule against which you can check availability.

Membership gives the following benefits:

  • full use of the Westwood Track on production of pass
  • male and female changing rooms with hot showers and lockers
  • qualified coaches for all events :
    • sprints
    • middle-distance
    • hurdles
    • throws
    • jumps
    • race walking
  • a wide range of competition for both male and female, young and old
    • Summer (Track & Field)
      • Midland League (Senior Men and Women)
      • Youth Development Leagues (U13/U15 & U17/U20)
      • Heart of England League (U11/U13/U15/U17)
    • Winter
      • Birmingham Men's Cross-country League
      • Midland Ladies' Cross Country League
      • Midland Road Relays
      • National Road Relays

We operate a Child Protection Policy, with two named child protection officers who can deal with any problems that might arise.

Social events are organised, including an Annual Awards Presentation Evening.

The track is close to a number of country footpaths and Warwick University playing fields for off road training.

Note - athletes may only compete for the club if they are registered members. It is possible to "pay at the desk" to use the track, but for anyone wishing to use the facilities regularly (and benefitting from the coaches, who give their time for free) a club membership is the most economic option.

Membership forms are available at the Clubhouse.

On initial payment (cheques made payable to "Coventry Godiva Harriers") a passport size photo is also required, to form part of the University-supplied pass.

You may offer your support to the club by becoming an Associate Member for a payment of 10. Parents are also encouraged to become involved - there is always a need for people to qualify as coaches and/or as officials to help at the various fixtures.
