Coaching and Officiating

Why is Club Coaching/Officiating/ Volunteering/Mentoring important to us?

Coaching

With the continued development of Coventry Godiva it is important that we have enough coaches in place to support our athletes. We are always looking for volunteers who are interested in taking their interest to the next level and becoming a coach eg: in Track, Field, Heavy Throws and Endurance events.

Information on courses in the area is available here. The club will cover the course fees for members demonstrating a coaching commitment to the Club.

Coach/Mentor wanted for Heavy Throws

Are you interested in becoming a coach/mentor for Heavy Throws?

Courses will be fully subsidised by Coventry Godiva Harriers

Please speak to our coaching co-ordinator, Clarke Roberts.

Officiating

Do you have an interest in athletics events? Why not combine this with gaining a qualification in officiating? We rely on officials to support the events that we host and also events that we take part in. Without officials there is no event!

Information on courses in the area is available here. The cost refundable from the Club on qualification.

‘Godiva Kids’ - Parent Volunteers

• Are you interested in becoming a parent volunteer?
• Are you a parent already helping and assisting ‘Godiva Kids’?
• Are you interested in gaining a UKA Level 1 or 2 coaching qualification?

We want to hear from you if you are interested in becoming a ‘Godiva Kids’ parent volunteer or you may already be a volunteer and want to take this to the next level and become a qualified coach.

With the growth of ‘Godiva Kids’ we need more parent volunteers/qualified coaches. Courses will be fully subsidised by Coventry Godiva Harriers. If you are interested in this course or any subsequent courses please speak to Jamie Blundell, Gordon Horne or our coaching co-ordinator, Clark Roberts.
